Vetreum’s mission is to elevate and redefine veterinary diagnostics by harnessing the potential of machine learning. Leveraging the power of the modern smart phone, Vetreum makes world class technology readily available to everyday veterinary professionals. As pet ownership continues to rise so does the owners dedication to care. Although this shift is desired, there is an increased burden on the professionals responsible for their medical care. Vetreum will not and does not aspire to replace veterinary professionals- Vetreum is an array of tools to empower professionals at every level of veterinary medicine and increase their efficiency. It is through these goals that Vetreum will elevate veterinary medicine and the individuals who commit their lives to it.
Our Team
Zach Meyers, DVM- Chief Medical Officer
Zach is a a small animal general practitioner in the Madison Wisconsin area. Zach enjoys clinical practice and working with clients to support animal health and the human-animal bond. His interests in epidemiology, data analytics, and machine learning technology drove him to Co-found Vetreum. Zach’s goal with Vetreum is to make high end technology available to his fellow general practitioner collogues.
Nic Herfel, Chief Technical Officer
Nic is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. Although obtaining a degree in information technology – business analytics, Nic became heavily interested in the potential of machine learning and artificial intelligence. This passion led him to become a winner of the Foxconn Smart Cities competition, a published data scientist, and eventual co-founder of Vetreum.
